The Legal Unit for Rural Affairs is now seeking employees to work with legislation in the rural area. Your tasks primarily include drafting legal council memos, propositions, departmental memoranda, and legislative texts. You will also participate in the work of negotiating EU legislation. The tasks also include providing information and advice on legal issues to the department's subject areas and to the political leadership. The work involves a high degree of collaboration with other units in the Government Offices, as well as contacts with authorities and organizations.

Your Background
You are an assessor from the court of appeal or administrative court. To be successful in the role, you need to be a skilled writer and have experience writing extensively. You also need to be a stringent presenter with a developed ability to adapt presentations to different target groups and highlight the most essential points in oral contexts. We expect you to be proficient in both Swedish and English as working languages, both orally and in writing. You have broad legal competence and a very good ability to conduct in-depth legal analyses. You also need to have an understanding of working in a politically governed organization. Experience in legislative work within the Government Offices or the inquiry system is an advantage. Good knowledge of EU law is also an advantage.

The work requires you to be independent, meticulous, and results-oriented while also being flexible in collaborating and cooperating in your tasks. You also need to have a very good stylistic ability and be quality-conscious and solution-oriented. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Other Information
We can offer several positions: a fixed-term position, a position as a legal expert for up to six years, and a permanent position that begins with a six-month probationary period for those not on leave from the court. All positions have the same requirements profile. The work location for the position is Stockholm. A security clearance will be conducted before a decision on employment is made. Interviews will take place in January. Please attach your grades and certificates from your judicial education in your application.
